What is your pricing model?
One thing that we do a little differently, is that we predominantly price our packages based around the coverage time that you need for your particular project. This means we don't charge you per photo, or per video run time, and this allows us to deliver more to our clients, as well as allow us to be a little more custom.
How many photos/videos do we get back?
For the past 5 years, it has been our goal to deliver as many photos and as many videos as possible per corresponding project. We have an estimated shooting rate of 25-50 final edited images per hour, or about 1 minute of footage per hour.
Because of our process, and our pricing model, the amount of photos/videos is directly related to the amount of coverage time you have hired us for.
Meetings, Consultations, and Planning.
After working over 75 weddings, I truly understand how daunting, how many variables, and how much time, work, and energy goes into planning your wedding.
Here is a list of the pre-planning meetings available to our clients:
- Discovery Meeting - before booking*
- Engagement Session - before shoot
- Pre-Wedding - 6 months out
- Pre-Wedding - 3 months out
- Pre-Wedding - 1 month out*
- Post-Wedding - before final delivery
Meetings are available upon request. Only Discovery and 1-month-out Meeting are Mandatory.
Our Shooting Style Explained.
In short...
- We love candids, and unposed moments.
- We love to create moments, through prompting, and directing with freedom.
- We love to create beautiful compositions, some even say we're artsy.
- We love editorial scenes, where we can direct you, and setup the shot entirely.
- And my favorite, I see y'all do something organically, and I tell you "don't move, that looks amazing!"
How we capture photo shoots.
When it comes to our standard photo sessions - our shooting method really depends on the vision/vibe of what you are going for.
This can be based on the outfits you are looking to incorporate, or based on the location, or activity you are looking to incorporate.
We like to use open prompts when working together, to give subtle direction, but also allow for your identity, and self expression to shine through.
What is your deposit/retainer?
For standard photo sessions, we ask for 50% upfront to book, and 50% paid on the day of the shoot.
For weddings (photo/video), we require 50% to book your date, and 50% one month prior to your wedding date, usually after our final pre-wedding consultation.
What is your standard turnaround time for photos/videos?
This answer is variable, and depends on your package.
Photo Sessions - 3-6 weeks
Wedding Photo Sneak Peeks - 2-6 weeks
Wedding Photography - 12-16 weeks
Wedding Videography - 12-18 weeks
These are our standard editing times, however these are variable depending on your package size, add-ons, multi-day weddings, wedding season, off-season.
How many shooters work a typical wedding?
For 90% of our weddings, our standard team is One Lead Shooter/Per Service.
So if you have booked our standard video and photo package, you can expect 1 Lead Photographer and 1 Lead Videographer as your team.
We do have associate shooters available, if you are looking to add-on team members, or if there is an emergency, and one of our lead shooters becomes unavailable.
With our shooting style, we do like to keep our teams small, to keep things more intimate, and to prevent your wedding day from feeling like a production.
In the event, that we believe an associate team member would be required to effectively cover your day, we will notify you!
How we capture weddings.
I see weddings as a day filled with two things:
1 - unposed, fly-on-the-wall, and candid moments (documentary)
2 - prompted, directed, and orchestrated moments (editorial)
And we shoot weddings in this manner, as a mixture of styles throughout the day.
And working together, we can identify and plan out what moments will be fully documentary in nature, and which moments will be more editorialized.
Destination Weddings, Travel, and Fees.
We are located in south Texas, and we primarily operate in San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas/Fort Worth.
We do travel outside of Texas, and outside of the US.
Travel Fees:
- Texas Weddings and Shoots:
$20 per hour of travel from San Antonio, TX
- Out-of-state (US):
Starting at $750 depending on length of event, and team size.
- Out-of-state (Mexico and Beyond):
Starting at $1,500 depending on length of event, and team size.
