Staying Positive.

Our personal life is busy a the moment, but we are doing okay.

Hannah is still recovering from surgery, and she has a few more weeks before she is cleared to lift the baby.

I am doing okay, just trying to stay motivated, and persistent.

Almost done closing out all of our 2022 Weddings Video Projects,

and we have already started on our 2023 Weddings Videos Projects, so those should be receiving partials soon.

Photo has been caught up, so just trying to deliver everything on those asap.

Since our last update, email updates did do well, we had a 94% Open Rate in comparison to a 77% Open Rate the previous update. Additionally, we had a 40% click-through Rate, meaning only 40% visited this page and read the previous update.

Thank you for being beyond patient and understanding with our situation. We did not intend to fall behind.

All the decisions we made regarding our business and personal life, were made with the information we had at the time,

and were affected by the unexpected events that we had to overcome at the time.


If we are past due on any deliverables, that was not our intention,

and I will be doing my best to make sure you are taken care of.

What is the average estimated delivery time for a wedding gallery or film?

The average time for a wedding gallery or film to be completed is between 10-16 weeks. However, it is common for this to be extended in busy months, or when there is a current backlog.

What times of the year are Busiest?

For us, the busiest time of the year begins in September, and ends in December. Our off-season or editing season, begins in mid/late December, and this will typically last until March. This is when we do the bulk of our editing for the previous year, as we usually have more time during these months due to the lower demands.

Do we get any sneak peeks while we wait for our gallery to be completed?

Yes. We try to turn a handful of sneak peeks so that you may share with family and loved ones! Sneak Peeks usually take about 1 month to be delivered.

What do we do in the meantime?

Now is the perfect time to decide how you would like to utilize and save your videos or photos. There are so many options available. You can start thinking about Photo Albums, Prints, Large Format Prints, Video Albums, or even additional video edits. For more information, fill out the form below.

Is the photo gallery and wedding film delivered at the same time?

Not quite. We try our very best to delivery your photos and videos at the same time, however we have two different timelines (editing queues) for turning in photos and videos. In some cases. we are only hired for photo/video only, and in those cases our timelines vary.

What is the best way to check the Status of your photos or videos?

The best way to see the status of your deliverables, is in this Editing Queue above. This list will be updated monthly.

Life Update: 2.15.2024


The past 30 days have been a little unexpected and busy, not that anyone else isn't experiencing busy times.


Shortly after the update, Hannah received news that she had been living with a hiatal hernia, about 6-7 cm in diameter, for an amount of time that we were not aware of. Thankfully, about one week after the update, she underwent surgery to patch the hole in her diaphragm, and it was successful. Hannah has been in recovery (at home) for the past 3 weeks, and she has 1 more week to go before she is cleared to be able to carry anything over 10 pounds.


That being said, I have been the one primarily carrying and taking care of our 7 month old who is getting huge and sits happily at 24 pounds. We have had some assistance from family here and there, but it's been challenging to say the least.


we are okay, and though this has caused us to slow down considerably, we were still able to get some work done, mainly by working at night, and around the baby's and our older sons' sleeping schedule. Not preferred of course, but we will work with what we are given.

The past 30 days, continued to be filled with a lot of editing, and a lot of sleepless nights...

UPDATES:


  1. February 2024 (update) - We are currently in Off-Season / Editing Season so we are really trying to limit our focus to Editing Photos and Videos. We will have a 1 engagement session this weekend, and we will be celebrating Hannah's, and our oldest son's (August) birthday the last week of February so we will take 2 days off to celebrate with both of them and loved ones.
  2. March 2024 (update) - I would really like to have all past due videos completed by March 30, 2024, as that is when we have our first spring wedding. So this would be for any videos before October 15, 2023. If everything goes as planned, this would help us catch up closer to our intended delivery schedules.
  3. Photography Clients (update): As of now, we are fully caught up with our Photo Editing Queue, which is a huge relief and accomplishment. We both have been working overtime to be back to normal delivery times(3-4 months) for photo clients.
  4. Photography Clients - Sneak Peeks (update)- We are pending 3 sneak peek galleries (December + January Clients) If this is you, we would like to get those sneak peeks out before the next update.
  5. More info for Videography Clients (update): I am still planning to send out videos as they are completed, so if your name is in the video editing queue for February 2024, this is you. If you have not yet received a partial video collection and your name is in the February 2024 list with an asterisk next to your name , you should receive one by next week. If you have access to a Partial Video Collection this is where we will be uploading your Final Highlight Film, and any Additional Edits that you have purchased or that we have given to you free of charge (view recap #3). Once you receive your online collection you can always access to check and see if you have any videos waiting.
  6. Film Photography Add-on Clients (update): Clients that had Film Photography added to their packages. I'm excited to inform you that the lab has already developed and scanned all the rolls, we are just waiting to receive the scans via email. I plan to deliver photos by next weekend.

  1. Monthly Updates (recap): If you are not yet aware, or your wedding just happened. We have switched over to Monthly updates via your emails on file. That will be easier for us to manage, vs taking the time to respond to all 50 of you individually.
  2. Our goal (recap): We will be working on a few projects every month. Projects that do not get completed within that month will be rolled over to the following month. Our goal is still to get everyone their galleries and videos as soon as humanly possible, without rushing or diminishing our quality and attention to detail.

Life Update: 1.15.2024


Hey everyone, it is the new year and boy has it already been eventful, but I hope everyone had a great holiday season late December and early January, and I hope y'all are safe and warm during these frigid times. We are so grateful to have been able to spend some time off with our children for Christmas, and Santa did show up with a few gifts.


We did start the year out rocky, we did have a loss in the family on NYE, and these first few days of the month have been a little overwhelming, but we are still working through it, and we have been doing a lot of planning, and restructuring for 2024.


Hannah will be out of the country for a few days to be with family starting tomorrow.

So I'll be taking over everything for a few days.


All in all, we're okay, and we have still been busting our butts to get everyone their galleries, and their videos.

The editing season continued...

The past 30 days, were indeed filled with a lot of editing, and we were also off for about 10 days for the holidays, and we thank you all for that, we are grateful to have had the time to spend with our children and family.

Life Update: 12.15.2023


hey hey! thankfully we made it through November, which was a bit challenging for us. but gratefully, we did enjoy a very relaxed thanksgiving with our children. The baby has started teething and salivating on everything, and the other kiddo has been learning how to read. As of now, we are still pending a good concert, and some time alone as a couple, but the very limited free time we get between the baby's naps we have been spending on getting caught up on sleep, planning our kids' Christmas, basic care like showering and eating, and of course work.


If you've seen our instagram stories, Today was pretty crazy, with the fire behind our house. Not in the plans at all, I was planning on getting this update out earlier, but we are just happy one of us was awake to get everyone up and out of the house.


Nevertheless, we are happy that we are able to keep moving forward, and unfortunately, as I'm typing, our kiddos seem like they are getting sick, so we hope that won't affect our schedules too much. I hope all of you are healthy, and that your kids, family, and furry friends are safe this holiday.

The editing season has begun.

With our 2023 Wedding Season finally coming to an end, we are excited to enter the editing season. Looking back, the past three months were brutal; we had a total of 12 Weddings, and 3 engagement shoots. But compared to last year's 16 weddings during our wedding season, this year we a little more manageable, in regard to the weddings we had. In regard to editing, we are happy to state that we are making some progress. Since our last update (11.15.2023), we were able to turn in 7 Photo Galleries and 4 Video Collections.


If you are pending work from us, thank you for being beyond patient. The switch to email updates has continued to show promise, as open and reply rates are going up, and I'm happy that all the time spent setting up the system is paying off, and we hope its appreciated.

We will be taking some time off for Christmas, as we do have children and we will be busy being Santa. The Office will not be open between December 20th - December 27th.

Life Update: 11.15.2023


It's been busy. Since our last update (September), there's been countless doctor's visits, COVID-19, ear infections, vaccinations, and we have been nonstop. Im sure we're not the only ones, with hardships, but this is the only avenue where I can share openly with each one of you on what we are doing when we are not posting, editing, shooting weddings, or photo shoots, meetings etc. We continue to seek more time with our children as their needs grow, and change every week. As of now, we still are pending a good concert, or week where we can relax and enjoy our time as a couple. You can't have it all.


Nevertheless, we are happy that we are healthy, and able to keep going. And I hope all of you are healthy, and that your kids, family, and furry friends are safe and able in these trying times.

  10. November 2023 - We've been grinding pretty hard at completing galleries and videos. We will be taking 1 week off for thanksgiving, since our kids will be out of school, and they will be home. Office will not be open Thanksgiving week.
  11. December 2023 - We will only have a few weddings early and late in the month, so (if we don't get sick) we should see some good progress before we go on break for Christmas week. Office will not be open Christmas week.

Due to Hannah being sick and on bed-rest this whole last trimester, and before then too, It has only been me, Danny, handling all the workload you see below, until she is feeling better.


I am working as hard, and as fast as I can. Work has not been stopped, and I will continue to work on everyone's gallery, photo shoot, and video, until Hannah goes into active labor. As soon as baby boy is born, I may take a couple days off (5 - 7 days), just to be present with our new arrival. Communication has been slowed down, and during work/editing hours all notifications are being silenced.

dear lion and lamb film family,


we want to formally address that due to the unanticipated circumstances in the Fall of 2022, we are delayed on all Photo Galleries starting October 29, 2022, and Delayed on all Videos starting August 20th, 2022. We also want to formally notify you, that you are indeed going to receive your photos and your videos.


we also want to inform you that we are doing everything we can, to complete everyone's videos and photos, from the fall of 2022, before the birth of our new son, which will be sometime Late May or June 2023.


we have never had this much work, or inquiries, in the 3 years we've been in business, and we have learned a lot after 50 weddings, but we're still learning, and we want to sincerely apologize, to all of you, for the delay.


we also want to apologize for booking 16 weddings between September - December 2022, when we should've only booked about 10. last year taught us that you can never have enough fail-safes, and that there is such a thing as helping or giving too much. this year brings new goals for us, as Business Owners and as Parents, especially building up the adequate life resources and processes to navigate the unplanned circumstances that we will encounter.

In a time, where everything is ready "on-Demand" this can be quite difficult for even the most patient of people, including us! We weren't even a month in and we were already curious about our photos and videos! But we are here to make sure we can guide you through this waiting period. Here are some of the few things that we are doing during these 10 -12 weeks following your Wedding...


Photography Workflow-

EST 10-12 Weeks - dependent on work load.


  • Back-up photos onto our editing hard drives, and back-up drives.
  • Create a second back-up of your files on a Cloud Server to protect our editing hard drives.
  • Photos will be selected and culled. (Culling is when we take all the photos captured, and we go through every photograph to select and sort out the best ones)
  • Once photos are culled, then we will begin looking at the selects to identify what color, composition, cropping and editing best suits your story and wedding gallery as a whole. Since we are huge advocates of True-Tone Editing, we want to make sure we are enhancing images subtly, but naturally as well, balancing and neutralizing colors as we think best represents you the couple.
  • Once photos have been edited, cropped, color corrected, and neutralized, we will do a final review of the gallery as a whole, and ensure that all the photos stand together to showcase your wedding day as it happened. It is at this stage where we may do another round of editing, incase we see it fit to make any slight changes.
  • When photos are done being edited, we will then export all your images, and we will back them up on our hard drives and we will also start uploading them onto your personalized gallery.
  • After they are uploaded onto your gallery we will start by curating them, to create the different sections within your entire gallery. We will spend time organizing your photos so that selecting and finding photos will be easier for you.
  • Once the Gallery has been sorted, and curated, it will be sent to you and your partner via email, and also via text!


Videography Workflow -

  • Back-up videos onto our editing hard drives, and back-up drives.
  • Create a second back-up of your files on a Cloud Server to protect our hard drives.
  • Transcode/Convert your video files into proxies to be edited.
  • Videos will be reviewed and watched. Similar to culling in photos, but with video we are looking for the best moments, audio sound bites, and of course the best shots. We start by watching the ceremony and speeches to look for a mood or story line.
  • Once the video footage is reviewed, we will start with music selection. During this process we are carefully looking for music that reinforces your story, your personalities, or your wedding day as it happened. Every couple, and every story is different, so we don't just pick the first song we find, we will look at everything as a whole and make sure the selection is as perfect of a fit that we can think of.
  • After, we find a handful of music options or audio that could potentially work, we will start mixing and matching clips to identify the introduction, storyline, or climaxes within the film. This is usually the hardest part as we like to try mutliple songs, variations in lay out, and audio use. It is common to go through a couple of variations before settling on one final edit.
  • Once we have completed the layout of the film, and the music selection has been mixed in, and storyline has been set, we will finalize the film by color-grading it. Since we are shooting in a LOG format (no color information) we need to add color back to the footage, so much like in photo editing, we will test a couple of variations to see what best represents your wedding day, as well as the vibe and feeling of the overall film.
  • After the film has been finalized, it will be reviewed multiple times to check for Audio playback, Visual Playback, and we will also watch the film on multiple devices to ensure that playback is working properly.
  • Once we have your film ready to deliver we will upload it to your private online collection, as well as upload it to our Youtube account. At this point, we will send your online collection via email, and we will provide you with a YouTube link so that it is easier to share with your loved ones.
